9-1-1 for Kids® is the official educational program for local, federal and international public safety: dispatch centers, agencies and organizations, committed to the sole purpose of teaching children how to save lives and property through the proper use of 9-1-1, the nation’s universal emergency telephone number.

The organization is endorsed and supported by: APCO International (Assn. of Public Safety Communications Officials), NENA (National Emergency Numbers Assn.) and NASNA (National Assn. of Nine-one-one Administrators).

Founded in 1990 and incorporated as a non-profit educational foundation in 1994, 9-1-1 for Kids® was developed by a collaboration of private and government public safety officials and suppliers to address the catastrophic problems and financial waste resulting from the alarming number of abandoned, misused and prank calls to 911, very often made by young people.

The organization is based in Long Beach, California and serves: Canada, the US and the Cayman Islands and any country which uses 911 as their universal emergency phone number. For more information please call: (800) 208-6842 and visit www.911forkids.com.
