The Queen Mary serves as the host site of the “For the Love of Children 3” concert this year.
The legendary landmark may possibly be one of the “8th Wonders of the World.” Located in the one of the world’s largest ports – Long Beach, the Queen Mary arrived in Long Beach on December 9, 1967.
Sir Winston Churchill many of his decision during WWII on board the Queen Mary, which transported many of the British troops -14,833 troops plus 1,000 crew transported. Total: 15,883.
Today, the ocean liner Queen Mary is retired from cruising and permanently docked in Long Beach, California. She has a new life now, as a unique hotel. Her staterooms are appointed with period style furnishings, fine artwork and the original portholes. Hotel guests can enjoy a complimentary self-guided ship walk, and behind-the-scenes guided tours are available for a small fee.
